Colorado Event Photography, Beauty and the Beast

This is what consumed my entire week last week! There were 3 performances, 2 dress rehearsals, 1 tech rehearsal, 65+ kids (most played more than 1 part), and 1 really good play! It was so much fun (I was secretly hoping we could do it a couple more times!) Bromley East Charter School really does a great job!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite! It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in. I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful. I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right! I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him.... just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious! I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves. Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all. ...
