Boulder High School Senior Pictures, Loreena

I cannot believe this beautiful young lady is a High School Senior!  It was not that long ago I was watching her in middle school plays.  My daughter and her are friends, so I still see her all the time, but she is still that cute huge smiling middle schooler to me!  And now she's about to go off and start playing with her astrophysicist dreams.  I don't know what I am going to do with her crazy antics, silly sayings and large laughter around the house!

I love these in the grass with the hat!  It is so perfect!

I love these!  The colors and shapes are super cool!
 These were so much fun!

I loved this field with the clover flowers, it was like a nice little carpet of stars.

Sometimes you just need a friend to hold your hat.  And brush your hair.  And help you change your bracelets.  And other times you don't need anything.  But luckily that day Loreena had someone to do all those things.
Her she is among the stars!  We had such a good time drawing stars and planets in the parking lot.  Yay for sidewalk chalk!
I can't wait to see where she ends up!  She is going to change our world!
I have all the power!  Not that my subjects were listening, but for a short time I was taller than them!
Really what should have been photographed is me getting on top of the car.  I won't say it was epic, but I will say some people were laughing.

There were some moments!  And there were some looks given to others around us.
I love these!  There were definitely some falling scares, but she kept a mostly vertical stance!
We did some fun ones on Pearl Street!  I didn't want it to be as dark as it was, but it was because we spent so much time in the parking lot drawing.

We had to stop for ice cream and the girls sat under this wonderful picture!  It was fantastic!

 I love this one!
Loreena's brothers and sister came with us, as well as my family.  It was quite the entourage!  I had some fun photographing them doing things and goofing around!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
