Littleton Family Pictures, Jocelyn and Gilby

What a wonderful family! I absolutely loved all the different personalities and energies of these kiddos! I didn't have to suggest much for them to jump right in and get excited, they were just made to do family photos!

Jocelyn suggested this location and I'm always really excited about places I haven't photographed before. I usually try and scope them out first - just in case!  I have been to some not so great spots that people thought were great.  So, I showed up a little early and I was in LOVE!  We could have probably photographed another hour there were so many great spots!

I love this one! Those smiles are the best!
I just LOVE this alley!

When I first saw this Irish Pub it was in the sun, but luckily when we came back to it, it was in the shade!  I was so excited!  And their colors look so good here!

I love telling kids to make funny faces, I never know how they are going to react.  These guys really had to think about it!  It was adorable to see so much thought go into what face to use!
Jocelyn really loves this wall and I was so glad we could do some photos here.  I think the kids were done with photos, but I'm glad they all came around because some of my favorites were at this spot!
I love this one!

This one really cracked me up!  Everyone looks so nice... and then YAWN!

I don't even remember if they thought of something to laugh at or if they were just laughing because I told them to, but they nailed it!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
