Boulder Senior Pictures, Sydney

I am so over the moon with Sydney’s pictures! I had the hardest time picking which images to put on the sneak peek! She is so natural and comfortable in her own skin and just looked fantastic in all the images! I love how she could be so serious and then have this beautiful smile right away!

I love this one!  Sydney did this all on her own and I loved it!

This would be one of her sister's funny moments, I really think I should hire this girl!  She brings out the best in people!

I love this one!  The wind was so crazy and she just needed a moment to get free of her hair going everywhere - and she looked super spectacular doing it!
I haven't even talked about the wind!  The full out crazy, CRAZY wind!  It wasn't windy when we arrived as we were walking into the park, the wind picked up and didn't really stop.  Luckily there were several spots where we were protected from the wind.  Most of the time, it was lovely and it was so easy to work with...
...and then there was this kind of wind... kind of fun, but not the greatest when everything was so perfectly set up.
I wish everyone had a cheerleader like Sydney's sister!  The world would be a brighter, happier, funnier place if they did! She uplifted her sister at every turn and cheered her on to be the best Sydney she can be!  I felt super uplifted just being around her! And then randomly she would say the funniest things, like "I don't think I've ever seen you in this much nature before!" Or "I am 95% positive... or at least I hope I am..."  She was such a character!
I love these!  What a special bond they all have.
This top!  So stinking cute!  We were running out of light, but I really wanted to make sure we got some in this top!  It is over the top amazing!  And with limited light, we did it!

I do love that this is what the wind was doing!

I love this one!  Her eyes!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
