Brighton, Co High School Senior Portraits, Mikayla

I love repeat clients!  I love knowing what they are up to and how things have changed in their lives!  And I really appreciate that they have remembered me!  I did Mikayla's sisters Senior Pictures a few years ago and had a wonderful time with her!  And I had just as good of a time this go around!  Mikayla was funny and willing to do just about everything!  She wanted to do farm like pictures, so we went to Berry Patch Farms , it is such a marvelous place!  There are chickens and pigs, beautiful grounds and wonderful people!  I really appreciated all that they did while we were there - they moved hoses, dusted off benches and pointed out great spots to take pictures.  They are just marvelous!  I love this porch!  And Mikayla loved it too!  If I could have that porch and those rockers, I may never do pictures anywhere else!  I may also need this wall and the bench... I love the bench!  It is ...

Brighton, Co High School Senior Pictures, Ryan

Ryan is a golfer and the best thing about photographing golfers on golf courses with permission is golf carts!  They are so much fun to whiz about in!  And golf courses are always such beautiful places to photograph at! Ryan is such a great kid!  Very polite and friendly.  He has a great smile and was very quick to laugh.  I really enjoyed the nice leisurely time we had at the golf course!  And then we were off to the studio!  I haven't done studio pictures for a Senior in years!  I kind of miss the some of the things I can do in the studio.  I guess that is why I am always taking the furniture outside. Brighton, Co High School Senior Pictures, Brandon

Usually something memorable happens during a session, sometimes it is small like a dead animal or being stalked by a hungry squirrel or sometimes big like a couple hiking and the woman going into labor.  Brandon's Senior Pictures were so far the most memorable this year.  We had permission to photograph on the football field, we were told that the soccer team would be practicing too.  We didn't think the soccer team coach would lock us in.  He knew we were there, so it stood to reason that he would come tell us he was leaving.  But I guess, it didn't stand to reason and we had to jump the fence.  This isn't the best photo of Brandon jumping the fence, but since I had handed my camera off to my assistant all I had was my phone.  Brandon was wonderfully amazing and helped his mom and cousin over the fence.  I felt so bad that they all had to jump the fence!   It was such a warm day and poor Brandon kept putting on his letterman ja...

Brighton, Co High School Senior Pictures, Brendon

Brendan's session was a super short session and I think it was a little too long for Brendan.  He couldn't wait to be done!  He had one of his friends with him and they just kept looking at each other and laughing.  I was glad his friend was there to make it a tad bit easier for him.  I wish there was always someone along to make it easier, especially on the short sessions! Brighton, Co Senior Pictures, Taylor

Taylor is one of my daughter's best friends and I was a bit nervous about doing her pictures.  I have spied on my daughter wearing funny glasses with the big noses, I have scared her and her friends when they were having a sleep over, I have pranked them and said crazy things and stuck my tongue out a lot and yelled nonsense - I have not been the best model mom.  Ever.  So, I was a little worried about how this little job would go.  I love the flowers!  They made them the night before and did a marvelous job with the ribbons!   They were beautiful!  I love the puppy!  He was such a happy puppy!  These are by far my favorite pictures!  They are so much fun!  We went to a bookstore in Brighton called Welcome to the Bookstore .  It is run by a wonderful family!  I totally adore them and wish them the best.  I was very excited that they let us photograph there.  I may just have to go back and ...
