 All day and the day before, I had been checking weather to see what it would be like for Alexys' senior pictures and it was going to be fine.  And then at 1pm the day of her pictures, it started hailing and the weather predictions changed.  It was nerve wracking!  But still the chance of rain was small at Hudson Gardens .  The 30 minute drive there was filled with spots of rain, angry clouds and wind... And then I didn't update her on which location we were doing first, I wasn't feeling the greatest about how this was starting!  But she was so upbeat and excited by the time she arrived at Hudson Gardens that I was like this is going to be great!  I just loved her energy!  And it was a fantastic session!  No rain!  Gorgeous light!  And one of the happiest people!  It was wonderful!  People always ask me what the hardest part of photographing is and other than all the "business" things that I hate to do, it is hands down wind!  Check out my video here (I was actually really impressed with some of the images!  I really love them!) I can deal with cold, except when there are little ones that their faces turn red right away.  But I'm not usually doing pictures in the cold, so it doesn't come up much.  I can deal with the heat, it is hard on everyone, but I try to keep everyone in the shade as much as possible and with water we can do it for a short amount of time.  Rain and snow usually don't last that long and hats and umbrellas make for a memorable session.  But wind!  It can show up whenever it wants.  It can come in fast and leave just as fast.  It can be gusty and then we have to stand around and wait for the 3 second calm spot.  It can just blow and blow and blow so much so that we have to reschedule. ...
