Boulder Family Portraits, Monica and Andy +6

And all I can say is wow!  6 kids, 2 parents and a few ducks.  These kids were the best!  They were so helpful, full of smiles and so well behaved!  I adored them all!  And I couldn't believe how quickly this session went!  I have had sessions with 1 kid that took longer and were harder to do.  But I guess when you have 6, they have to be awesome because there isn't a lot of time for melt downs!  I so love this image!  And these 2 are the troopers that are so inspirational!  I could not believe how patient and kind and absolutely marvelous parents these 2 are!  They should teach classes!  And by far, this was the biggest hit!  Suckers! And also, the pre-emptive ending to the session - I think it was the sugar....  But I LOVE these images!  I am going to have order a metal print of one of these.  All the colors and sweet faces!  I love it!  Love!  I could have spent so much time with these kiddos!  They were extremely shy at first, but once they warmed up to me they were like look at me do this and do this!  They were running and jumping all over the place - it was such a joy watching them!   These are my favorite! Broomfield Family Portraits, Kim and Nolan

What a fun family!  The little one was super happy to see me and tell me all about the orange slushy he was going to have - if they did a good job with pictures.  And that's when I should have been taking pictures of him!  Because he quickly became attached to his mom and he didn't want to do pictures at about the time we started.  But his big brother was all about pictures, he was super excited.  His mom told me later that the boys are usually the opposite, it cracked me up that they spent so much time prepping the older one and expecting the little one to be fine.  These boys are so lucky to have such amazing parents!  They were so patient and understanding of both boys!  I love to see parents be so patient and kind!  Here was dad trying to cheer up the little one!   He would have let me take his pictures here and there and just about everywhere!  And with that hat and smile?!?? How could I say no? ...

Broomfield Family Pictures, Dianne and her beautiful daughters

I did these pictures of Dianne Primavera and her beautiful daughters over a month ago!  I am just now getting around to do blogs again!  They were so close to each other, I loved how they all got along!  There are so many stories about these dogs!  The bigger one used to be a guide dog that Dianne's daughter raised.  A few years after she had passed her guide dog schooling and she was a with someone, she was hit by a car and couldn't be a guide dog anymore.  Dianne's daughter agreed to take her back.  It is such a cool story!  I love how compassionate all three of them are!  I love these of the girl's walking with their dogs. Broomfield Family Photos, Davindar and his beautiful family

We had some misses with setting up this sitting, I was beginning to think it might not happen, but the third time was just what we needed!  The weather was perfect and there was no wind, it was perfect!  The kids were an absolute joy and I adored how close they were to each other (there was some eye rolling, but not much.)  I love this image!  She is so sweet!  I love these with the kids! Event Photography, Escoffier School of Culinary Arts

I love working with these guys!  It is for Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and they are a hoot!  There is a lot of joking, laughter and fun!  And one of the great perks of this photo session was that we got to visit Black Cat Farms which is the farm for the Black Cat Boulder restaurant.  Other than the cold, it was a fabulous tour and it was great to hear the chefs talk about farm to table eating.  Mmmmm!  Tasty!  The other perk of this event (perhaps my favorite part) was a Mystery Basket competition for 16 or so Colorado High Schools.  It was a real live cooking show!  And it was fabulous to see all the High Schoolers working together and creating some of the best smelling food I have smelled at 10am in the morning!  At the end of everything, there was an award ceremony for the Culinary Chef teachers and other people who have helped further the culinary world.  I could just hang out with these guys a...
