I wanted to share a moment of our recent camping trip. Aidan and I played airplanes for awhile and it was quite an exuberant airplane game. Aidan's way of playing airplanes and mine are drastically different. He wanted to play shoot them down airplanes with force fields, self healing wings and noses, large amounts of ammo and explosives. I thought it would be great to run rescue flights to help out children in Africa - but he couldn't understand where the fun in that was. So we played his way. It was quite fun, it's been awile since I've played airplanes!
I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite! It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!
