Colorado Portrait Photography, the cutest twins ever!

I do not know how Dana (mom) does it with these two bundles of pure electricity!  They are so adorable and so full of energy, she must just stand there not sure whether to be so full of awe or whether to be attempting to stop whatever incredible task they have attacked.  Twins always sounds like such a wonderful thing, but honestly I couldn't imagine have TWO toddlers - that's like more than double the defiance.  You have two kiddos saying no and then when they see what they can do together it's like having 3 or more different kinds of no's.  But this all sounds so awful!  And this session was not awful!  It was sweet and marvelous and I loved every minute of it!  Addy and Sophie are just so lovable and luckily for me, they like me and don't scowl or run away!

I love this collage!  This just shows how they can go from a stationary curious position to on the move.
This was really the point of our excursion, to get images of them with Grandma, but because there are two of them it is a bit harder.  So sometimes we had Grandpa come in and help out.

Oh how they loved the sticks!
We are extremely lucky to have captured this image, between the wind and wandering children and eyes this one came out great!

I just had to include this one, I am guessing there is more of this than the above image - just judging off my own family.  I know I was more of a jungle gym or carrier vessel than much of anything else until I couldn't or wouldn't pick them up anymore.  But the kisses and hugs were why I really did it, they made everything totally worth it!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
