Brighton, Co Portraits, Samantha, Butch and their beautiful family

I believe I am almost catching up, my goal is to be done today so that I can have the weekend to finish shopping, bake cookies and most of all enjoy my family!  I am so glad to have all the prints delivered, appointments set and tucked away until after the holidays (except the Christmas Eve wedding), and almost all the final Galleries up (there are a few lingering out there, I promise to get started today!)
So without delay, here are this little cuties 3 month pictures!  Isn't her face just the cutest little cherub face ever???
I try not to duplicate the same types of images (especially sessions that are so close to each other), but I couldn't resist hanging 2 little babies out to dry!  I love this idea and can't wait to play with it a little more!

There was this moment after we had dressed her and undressed her that she was very unhappy and she tried so hard to shove both fists in her mouth and cry and was just generally unhappy!  And then her mom got her phone out, and in between cries she stared at the phone with anticipation.  Just as the music started to come out of the phone, she sniffled a few times and then calmed down.  It was amazing that she recognized the phone and knew that soon something would happen that she liked!

 And here comes the phone!
 And here comes the calm!
Not so calm.  But her parent's are the best mom and dad as they tried to calm her down.
 And (phew!) happy!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
