Broomfield Family Pictures, Corbin's 3 months

It has been so long since I have blogged, I almost forgot how!  And it has been equally as long since I took these pictures...  As nice as it has been to be away from my computer and desk, I know I should probably get back at it!  So here it goes!

Can I just say how fun these guys are!  I love them to pieces.  Here in and out of the basket, we have 3 of the hardest ages to photograph!  An infant who has no reason to cooperate, a toddler who doesn't cooperate unless they want to (which I believe in never) and a teenager who doesn't want to cooperate because they are in the process of figuring out who they are, what they like and don't like.  But notice how in this image, the infant is the cooperating.  We will not discuss how I was the one who showed her niece where her tongue was....
And here he is cooperating again.

Sadie is so good with her brothers!  She is amazing and so patient.  Aiden loves her so much!
I am going to call this cooperation, I was playing peek-a-boo hoping for a smile and this is what he did.  It really is totally adorable!

I love the look on Aiden's face!
Finally!  I finally got a great shot of Corbin!  I was so happy to get him to smile and be happy!
Aiden will be helping me out (again) for a while, so if you make an appointment with him, please double check with me!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
