Broomfield family pictures, Corbin's 9 months

I am starting this blog off with one of the last pictures I took.  Because I am SOOOOO excited that I actually got a picture of all of them smiling!  Most of the time I have about -30 seconds of the middle squirmy kid staying still.  This time he gave me about 30 seconds and I was able to do it!  Sadie was awesome having both of her squirmy brothers sit in her lap!  I know it drives her up the wall, but she did so good!  Way to go Sadie!
Who couldn't love this face??  Such a cutie!  And he is so soft too.

Their mom really wanted a matching picture of the 2 boys in their pajamas, but Aiden (the middle kiddo) had many different ideas.  There were lots of tears and stomping feet, so we opted to do them separately.  This made Aiden very happy!
I love this little guy!  He is always such a helper!  The only reason he let me take these was because I needed to set up the flash to take his sister's picture.  So he posed for me until I got the flash right.  You may recognize him, he usually has my phone to his ear taking messages for me.  Great helper.
Her is Sadie in one of her dance outfits.  Such a cute outfit!
There was some of this too...  Poor guy was hungry and sleepy.  Picture taking can be really hard!
From one end of emotions to the other.
I love this dance outfit and you almost wouldn't know it was for dance!

This is the 1 picture of Aiden hugging Corbin.  That was it, he just wouldn't do anymore.  Not even just sitting next to him.  There is only so much brotherly love one can take - or give.
 Such a sweetie!  Totally lovable!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
