Prairie View High School Seniors, Phylicia

I know it is hard to believe I am still blogging High School Seniors!  That is how far behind I am!  I really don't like rushing things and I have been finding myself rushing, rushing!  I do hope to catch up and have everyone's images blogged and galleries done soon!

Phylicia's Senior Pictures were done on a beautiful day, it was such a great fall day.  The first day we had scheduled we had to cancel because of rain, I was really worried that we may not get a better day, but I was wrong.  Phylicia was such a great girl to work with!  She was pleasant and a great conversationalist.  I love that she wanted to do pictures with her Chicago Bulls jersey (I really hope it's the Bulls!  I didn't have time to verify the jersey on google....)  I think it is so marvelous when kids bring things they like and are part of who they are.

I loved this spot, it was such an unusual spot and had such great light and pretty colors!
I think this is one of my favorite images!  Near one of my favorite blue walls too!

I really wanted to stay in this spot longer, I loved the blue and orange colors.  Unfortunately, there was a man that was yelling and acting a little crazy.  He wasn't being too aggressive, until a car that he wasn't even bothering yelled back and made rude hand gestures.  Then he became a little more aggressive and belligerent.  Unfortunately, he probably had a rather large mental illness and appeared homeless.  But either way, I didn't want to risk anything happening and Phylicia was getting nervous, so we moved on.
I was wrong, this is by far my favorite image!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
