Boulder Senior Pictures, Cristal

I loved doing Cristal's pictures!  I did her First Communion pictures and she was just the cutest little girl!  So, I was really excited to do her senior pictures!  She was so nervous (I have no idea why!  She did such a fabulous job with posing and all that!) and half way through the session, on outfit #2, she locked the keys in her car.  I felt sooo bad for her!  Her dad had to drive up and then they ended up calling a lock smith anyway.  But had that not happened, we wouldn't have ended up at the Boulder Library - and I found some amazing spots to do pictures there!  Inside and outside!  It was such a great fumble!  I was having a hard time feeling bad for her locking her keys in the car...





 I love this one!

 While they were waiting for the lock smith, I went to lunch and we were going to see if we could finish the session that day or do it another day.  But they were able to get into the car as I was finishing lunch, so it was perfect!  
I love how she did her hair!  It is absolutely adorable!

  I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

  Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

  When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
