Boulder High School Senior Pictures, Grace

I have been doing pictures with and for Grace's family forever!  Grace and her brother have been in so many plays I have photographed, I have done her sister's senior pictures and Grace helped me with my smoke bomb trails, and I did her prom pictures this year too!  And now she is one of my senior models!  I knew she would be so amazing at it!  We had such a good time in Boulder at the reservoir.
We were hoping for an amazing sunset, but a storm came in and we had a little bit, not anything spectacular.  I was a little bummed, but the other beach images are so amazing, that it was all ok!



 I love this one!








 I love that Cheryl wanted to be in the pictures too!  I so love the parent and kid pictures!



 Grace's boyfriend was there too and he was so helpful!  I love hanging out with these two!  They are so much fun!


 Grace has so much personality!  She is such a drama kid!  I love it!

 Cheryl insisted on taking a picture of Grace and I.  As unexcited as I was, I am so glad she did!  I really love this family!

  I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

  Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

  When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
