Brighton High School Senior Pictures, Brady

I wish I could put into words how great I think Brady is... but I just can't pinpoint exactly what it is. He just has this very calming demeanor and it was like photographing an old soul and not a teenager. He is just very... quiet, but not in a shy or unsure way. More like Yoda. Very wise and contemplative. And he did everything I asked (which a huge bonus for me), including walking in water with slippery, foot hurting rocks that pulled your foot into some murkiness I think some would call mud.
I swear I checked this branch to make sure it was stable, but when Brady sat down on it, the branch flipped and down on the ground he went.  It was a good thing he had such a great sense of humor about it!

I have been over at this spot before and usually there isn't any water along these rocks, and this day was different and it was marvelous!  It was so lush and green and absolutely beautiful!  I love that we were able to get a spot like this, Brady likes fishing and taking a few pictures on the river just seemed so appropriate!

This is where I had him walking in the water and the rocks were like marbles and just when you thought it wasn't so bad the muck pulled your foot in and a rock would roll around push horribly on you.  But he did it!  And it was amazing!

Football! I always love taking pictures on the field, it is so much fun!  There is so much to do  there!  And again Brady was up for everything!  If the pesky sun hadn't set and Brady hadn't been starving, I could have photographed for another hour!

I love the 50 yard line!  It is always so fun!

I love this one with the Home of the Bulldogs sign!  The light on the stands is great and him looking off is just fantastic

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
