Kaedon Senior Pictures, Brighton

I photographed Kaedon and his brother and both times we were so lucky! The weather was great both days and the colors around us were wonderful! Kaedon was a bit shy, but when he smiled it was great!

Kaedon wanted to do pictures at the Adams County Animal Shelter, which is not as weird as it sounds, it is a gorgeous place! And there is a wonderful spot close to an open space within walking distance! And the greatest thing about him wanting to do pictures here is that he volunteers here. I absolutely love that! When we were doing pictures one of the dogs was being walked and wanted to come over to Kaedon and say hi, it was very sweet!

I love that he wanted to take pictures with the Pride Flag! And I really love that the shelter has this painted in the parking lot!

These grasses! They were gorgeous! And they make his eye pop!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite! It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in. I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful. I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right! I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him.... just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious! I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves. Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all. ...
