Nick and Zach


Zach and Nick are twins - I was very excited to do their pictures, well who wouldn't be? Twins are always fascinating. And just like most twins Nick and Zach were nothing alike, they even look different. But I still mixed them up and asked Nick about Zach's school and Zach about Nick's school. Quite embarrassing really!


Their mom assured me they were hams, and really in their own way they were. They didn't like to smile too much, but so often without me telling them what to do they looked supermodels!

















































At the park, we ran into -believe it or not twin boys. Who would have thought in a small town we would run into another set of twin boys? They had lost their boom-a-rang in a tree. Before Zach and Nick's mom could finish her sentence about how their dad would probably go up the tree to retrieve the boom-a-rang - their dad was up in the tree with long stick whacking at the mischievous boom-a-rang. He eventually got it down just in time for one of the boys to throw it back up into the tree, luckily it didn't get stuck.

  I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

  Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

  When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
