Bromley Bolt, Benefit for the Boys and Girls Club, Brighton Colorado

The Bromley Bolt, scheduled on what could have been a nice sunny day (I even bought a tent for the sun!), but instead it turned out to be a cool, rainy day. I suppose it was good for the runners... I personally, would have preferred a warmer day...

Here, is the smaller runners race. So cute to see these little guys running!See the very colorful balloon? It was up for about an hour and then they had to bring it down due to the weather. I was very bummed, I was going to use my role as "photographer" to get a ride, but no... silly weather!
The winner!

The bigger runners getting ready.

And.... Go!

He was FAR ahead of everyone else. I wanted to photograph a group of runners before I had to run over to the finish line, but when I saw how far ahead he was and how quickly he was running... I quickly ran to the finish line - beating him of course!

And here he is winning!

I tried to get everyone finishing, but I did miss a few.

Mr. Geisler and Ms. Cornish battling it out before the finish line.

Second Place Big People Winner!

See how his feet aren't really touching the ground?

It turns out that's how he really "ran" the entire race. What a great dad to let him ride most of the way and then run over the finish line (and he let him go first).

One of the greatest Face Painters ever! I will try and find her information for anyone interested.

The Steel Pennies played - and they were fabulous!

Picadilly Nursery had some beautiful plants for sale to help benefit the Boys and Girls Club.

No, really this image does not have a green tint... It's just the Volunteer vests.

Doesn't her face look absolutely fabulous???

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
