CASA 17th Golf Tournament

The last couple of days have been crazy and of course there was a holiday jammed in there too! So now I am a little behind! I photographed CASA's Golf Tournament last week and I received quite the tutorial on golf by my wonderful guide John. He explained the eccentricities of golf, the course and clubs. I learned a lot, that I now have forgotten! I had thought of taking up golfing when I saw all of the cool golf club covers, but after John's detailed explanations, it sounds a little too complicated.

I loved these signs! They were a great touch for an event that was for children.

And they are off!

The Nuggets Cheerleaders were so sweet! I loved how beautiful their blue shirts blended with the green of the trees (I know I should be dazzled by their beauty, which I was, but I think the colors just made them sparkle more!)

This young man is Brayden Bozak and he is a 7 year old, world renowned golfer. I'm not sure how he could do so well, my 7 year old can't stay still long enough to find it! I think he is amazing because he is capable of standing still for so long! And apparently he is really good!

The wonderful thing about Alicia, is not that she is Miss Colorado International, but that I worked with her mom when she was in high school and it was great to see her again! And it is great that she has done so much in her barely twenty years!Mmmmmmmmm! This is one of the perks of my job, I get some of the greatest food ever! I'm not sure if I liked the Chocolate or the Costa Rican Vanilla better... They were both fabulous!

And this would be E.J. Walton, the wonderful maker of the above goodness. As you can see by his wonderful smile, he was such a pleasant person to be around. I would love to have gelato at my next birthday just as long as he comes to dish it out.
I love this image! Just in case you couldn't see that the ball was way left, he was there to point that out.

This is John, my wonderful tour guide! Thanks John!

This is Joe, from UnCorked and he had some of the best smelling BBQ! Unfortunately, I didn't get to eat any...Some of the door prizes. I love the Gentleman Jack, it is etched with CASA's logo.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
