Colorado Wedding Photography, Jackie and Chris

Jackie and Chris' wedding was amazing!  They flew here to Colorado from Florida to share their wedding with Chris' mom (Geri) who is battling cancer.  They decided a couple of days before leaving and my wonderful friend Jeni Sue and the people she works with created a wedding in that short time.  They are amazing and caring people!  And Jackie and Chris were so gracious and appreciative of everything that everyone had done for them.  I really wish I could photograph their wedding in Florida, they are amazing people themselves.  And I have to say Jackie is 23, when I was 23, I was not definitely not as giving and mature as she is.  I think she is amazing!  I love that I was able to be a part of this wedding, there were so many wonderful people there and I am glad to have been part of it.

This cake was amazing!  It was by far one of the best wedding cakes I've ever had!  The baker was Baby Cakes in Fort Collins or Loveland, I would love to share the web-site but I was unable to find it.  But when I do, I will share!

Haley was the adorable flower girl and she was very good at it!  She even picked up her petals during the ceremony and flung them out a second time as Jackie and Chris came back down the aisle.

I am so in love with these shoes - and I have far too many pictures of them.

Here is Geri and her youngest son Nick.  She is so wonderful and gracious.  I took her an album of the pictures today and she was so very grateful and appreciative.  Genuinely so.

I love this image of Geri!  She looks so happy!

 I totally love this image!
 And this one too!
 And these!

Their tattoos mean Passion, Jackie's is in Arabic and his is in Japanese.  I realy love this idea!

This is Geri and her nurse Linda. I really love how close they are.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
