Brighton Senior Pictures, Cassie

We had to do Cassie's session in 2 different chunks because of the rain.  The first 3 images were from our first session, and the rest are from the second session.  It is what you expect after so much rain - full of mosquitoes, batting, swatting and running.  So keep that in mind as you are distracted by those black little dots.  I still have itchy mosquito bites all over my feet and arms - and I put Off on two or three times!  I don't even remember how many times Cassie put it on.  At one point, we had to stop because she was surrounded by those little blood sucking fiends!  The Off wasn't really working the way one would want it to work.

We did these by her house and I had a great time being in a new space!  And I think she was more comfortable being in her own space too.
I loved this rope ladder!  Her mom said when she was a kid she would climb it all the time.  I love when there are connections to their childhood.  Being a Senior in High School is such a huge milestone and the beginning of new part of their lives.  Even though they are teenagers and becoming their own person, it is wonderful to remember the little one's in them.

We waited forever for the sun to come out, it was very sunny when I got there and then the clouds rolled in.  It was such a beautiful space for sun, but unfortunately the clouds hampered that.  But finally, we got a little bit of that beautiful golden light creeping through!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
