Boulder Senior Pictures, Gianna

Oh my gosh! This girl! She has so many wonderful ideas and has so much energy! I love working with her! I cannot wait to see her again with Senior Model Sessions! She is going to rock them!
Gianna really wanted to do pictures with a mirror and I had a mirror that I thought would work... and then the day of I started to think a smaller mirror might be better.  I found this one and I am so glad I did!  The other mirror was so heavy and we walked all over Boulder Reservoir and it would have been such a pain to carry around!  I love how they came out, I would love to play with them more!
I love this girls laugh!  It is so genuine and contagious!

I love how thoughtful and serious she can be!  And then boom, she smiles and you can't help but smile with her!

This wall is so awesome!  If we had had more time we would have done a ton in the white dress here too!

Gianna is so up for just about anything!  She danced and spun so much, I thought she was going to get so dizzy she'd have to sit down... I didn't have time to finish the back of the flower crown and she had to do all of it all over again so we could get the back.  She did it and worked out perfect because then I had flowers for her to hold and dance around with, there are always good things happening!

I love these walking away ones!

This one is my favorite mirror one!  When I have more time I want to put the mirror in a different background and see how that looks, I think it will be fun!

I love LOVE that she brought books and some of her favorite childhood stuffed animals!  I wish we would have had more time (I know I say that A LOT!), the employees kept mentioning to us that they closed soon and tapping on their watches.  Then they mentioned that if we didn't leave soon our car would be locked in... so we reluctantly gathered all our stuff (there was a lot of stuff!) and we left.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
