Senior Model Team, Little Man Ice Cream

This is part of the 2024 Senior Influencer Team! I am so excited to have them! These young people are so amazing and fun! I love all the connections I have with each of them, there are friend connections, travel, tv shows, humor, food, the tragic loss of a tulip and now there is ice cream! I just have to put in my plug for Zoomers – because I love them! I know they get a bad rap for being on their phones all the time, being lazy (have you seen their school and sports schedules?? They are busier than any other group of teens I have seen!), being less mature than the boomers were at that age (can we talk about childhood and how important it is??), etc… But, this generation is truly amazing, I know so many people don't see what I see, but they should peel back the layers a little and peek in because it’s really great! They crave authenticity, the want to stand out and not fit in, they are connected into what is happening in the world, they call it like they see it, they know what matters to them and they will let you know, they believe in we more than me and they are changing the world quicker than any other generation! And I say go Zoomers! Because you all are brilliant and it's your turn to change the world anyway, don’t listen to anyone who is telling you your generation sucks. They had their chance they’re just jealous they didn’t get as much done and the Millennials and you.

This is Katy!  I have known Katy since she was in elementary school.  She is definitely a little quiet on most days, but when you get her talking she is just this fantastic conversationalist who has very important views!  And she will call things out with a biting wit that just makes you want to stand up and applaud!
This is Yihtzel.  I just met her and I have this deep admiration for her.  She contacted me and set everything up, showed up to her session by herself and is just this independant and strong young woman!  I am starting to learn that travels and has this very quiet appreciation of where she has gone and I absolutely love that!  Appreciation is everything in different places!

This is Lacey! I did her brother's senior pictures a few years ago and I have known her since she was so little!  I was so excited to have her on the team! She is always such a positive and uplifting person to be around!
This is Emery! I did her sister's senior pictures a few years ago and I was so excited when Emery applied for the Influencer team!  I just adore her and her family!  She is such a genuine and heartwarming person! I just love being around her!
This is Kenny and he just cracks me up!  He is this amazing young person who is incredibly interesting to talk to AND makes me laugh!  I did his sister's senior pictures a few ago and she was on the team too.  When I asked his mom if he might want to be on the team, she was like he's just going to!  And he has been an amazing member!

It was hot and there were some drips and lots of melting!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
