Jackson, one of the cutest kids in the world by the way, had his first birthday last week! He had an amazing birthday filled with Nemo -like cake and cupcakes, kids of all different ages, a Nemo pinata, and a fabulous grandma who would do anything for him. Aren't they adorable? And fabulous tasting! Poor Newman had to spend his day behind bars. Grandma! Ah- ha ! He swiped the remote! And then this man quickly stole it back, lest Jackson change the channel! Oh no!

Arazli wanted her pictures done at the zoo and I do believe it has been the most interesting place I have ever done pictures. It was also the most challenging because we went on a free day, on one of the last nice days of the year... Either way we were able to get some really nice outdoors shots. The animals did not cooperate however. They were lazy and slept or stayed out of sight the entire time we were there. We did this picture in front of the window looking into the seal's water, I was hoping for seals to be swimming behind her. This was a really hard spot! We were in Tropical Discovery, but so was everyone else... So I was unable to back up or get the full tank without having people in it (and there really were too many people to ask for some space). I love these with the leaves! The funny thing was Arazli was afraid of the leaves when they fell down. Her sister and I laughed so hard!

Fernando was great to photograph! He had a great smile and a great serious look - and he could move between the two easily. It was late afternoon when we did his pictures and I may have over done the sun flare a bit... I love the sun flare on this one! I love this image, he looks like a Calvin Klein model. Are they "cool" anymore? Well they used to be.
