Boulder Senior Pictures, Brittany

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!  I had a wonderful time with all the cooking and family over.  It was wonderful not to have to do anything!  It does seem to have derailed me a bit and I feel like I lost my work compass, but I suppose by tomorrow I'll be back on track.  I did get some done today, it just felt so slow...

Here are Brittany's Senior pictures.  She is a very sweet girl, she wants  to be a vet and from what I saw, I think she would be great at it.  She is very patient and has that general disposition that most people that work with animals have.  We had a great time in Boulder, because Boulder is always wonderful of course!  It was very pleasant and laid back.

It is so cute how many Seniors have brought their little sisters!  And of course all of them have loved my umbrellas.
I love how her little sister was imitating her pose!  So cute!
We saw these incredibly large fish in a pond on the CU campus.  I really wish the image showed how big the fish looked, it was so big I think it could have been a family meal!

 I love the waterfall!
I was really glad to see so many turtles!  When I was a kid, there were turtles all over Boulder and I haven't seen many lately.  At one point there were 3 on this log sunning themselves and it was perfect there was a big one, medium sized one and a small one.

I love her hair down!  It is so wavy and full!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
