Colorado Quinceanera Dress Pictures, Lexi

This last week has been very up and down.  On Saturday I found 2 pug puppies, without collars, after a portrait shoot.  I thought for sure we would find who they belonged too right away.  But no-one seems to be looking for them.  Then our very old kitty, who hasn't been eating well, stopped eating and moving all together.  So we had to put her down, it was very hard.  I wasn't really sure if I was doing the right thing or not.  But she just didn't feel well at all and I'm pretty sure she wasn't going to bounce back, but there is always that doubt.  I wish there was an easier way of knowing.  So as we were dealing with the loss of our cat, one of the pugs gets sick.  Really sick.  We ended up in the ER Vet and spent quite a lot of money trying to see what was wrong.  So today, I have cleaned our bathroom three times and taken a very sick pug outside several times in the hopes he will go out there and not in the bathroom - hasn't really worked out that way.  Kept the other dogs away from him, so they don't get what he has.  Made sure everyone has washed and sanitized their hands.  Made boiled chicken and rice in hopes he eats (his name is Mort, but I think I will call him Mr. Silver Spoons), but he hasn't eaten or drank much.  And in between, I try and work.

So needless to say, I am a bit behind in all of my work.  I am hoping that as soon as my back-up arrives, aka my husband, I will be able to concentrate on my work (and not be the primary bathroom cleaner, the bleach smell is getting to me!)

So sorry Lexi that your post had to be so graphic and icky!  I love the images we got that day!  And you were amazing and did everything I asked!  I had a great time and hope you did too!

I love shoes!  And Lexi's are fantastic!

I loved this spot!  It was fantastic (minus the sun) and beautiful.

 I love this image!
 And this one too!

We were almost done and her mom found this fabulous room, and it's funny because so many of the images I am posting are from this spot!  Thanks Verenice for finding it!

 Such a great ending pose!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
