Brighton Senior Pictures, Julie

Sometimes I love my job and other times I LOVE my job. But everyday, I just really LOVE what I do! And it's not always the photography, I mean it is, but it's also the photographing of people - mostly the photographing of people. And it's really the people who are excited about doing it that make me LOVE photographing! Because I am already excited, and their excitement fuels my excitement! Oh! It's so much fun! And with all that said, Julie was so much fun!!! And here are her wonderful pictures that we took at the Hotel Boulderado and we were so lucky to be able to do it there. Not only because it was beautiful and old and that's what she wanted in pictures, but because it was dripping hot outside! I am so happy to have done Julie's Senior Pictures!  She is so vibrant and full of life! It's people like her that make me LOVE my job!

 Julie is a theater major and I thought it would be wonderful to do pictures in front of the Boulder Theater, but I was having a hard time posing her and then I saw her bag that all her accessories were in and I was like viola!  How perfect to have an actor in front of a theater with luggage!  I couldn't have planned it better!

  I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

  Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

  When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
