Union Station Engagement Session, Megan and Bobby

It was a bit cold the day we did their pictures, but they were such troopers staying out in the cold!  I have to say it was really nice when we went inside Union Station! I could have photographed these guys all day!  They were so amazing together!  Just absolutely adorable!

 I love this one!  I think it is my favorite!

 It took awhile to get this shot, I set it up and took 1 shot and a big, black SUV pulled up right in my path and proceeded to take out a baby stroller, put together the diaper bag (rather slowly), take the baby car seat out (and put it back in and take it out again) and on and on.... So we wandered off and had to come back.  I was glad though, because in that time the sun came out and it made it a little bit more interesting.
 I love this one too!  I totally love the orange chairs!  And they look so good cuddled in!





 This was one of those hilarious moments!  It was hard to keep people out of the images and then this happened... it was like the guy in the green jacket was drawn to this spot.  And in this spot he was going to read the Iliad of all texts.  But he was nice enough to move when Bobby asked him.  And he didn't ask for any money for being in the shot - very nice of him!

  I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

  Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Alex, Senior Pictures

  When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
