Monument Wedding, Misty and Chris Part 2

This wedding was 2 years in the making! When Misty and I first talked about the wedding, it was hard not to get too excited because it was so far in the future. And then as it got closer, I wished it was farther away because I didn't want the Corona Virus to affect it too much. But they were so lucky to have it when they did, it was as things were loosening up and not tightening back down again. I was so happy for them!

I love this one of Chris!

I loved how Chris goofed around!  He has the best sense of humor!

It was so great to see Misty!  She was just glowing by the time I got there!

I am so in love with the girls in their robes!  They all looked so adorable!

I love this image!

We had to rearrange times and locations a bit the week before and Misty wanted me at the cottage where she was getting ready around 2.  She said she would be close to getting into her dress... and I thought "well, we'll see..."  And she was!  She has always been a planner and prepared, but even those brides tend to be a bit behind.  But not Misty!  We were ahead of schedule throughout the day!  She knew when and who were supposed to where and wasn't stressed about any of it!  I think she should teach classes!

I have known Misty's family since Misty was little.  The first time I saw her, she was running around a Young Marine Ball in a fancy dress.  And seeing her and her dad together, her in a fancy dress, I could just see her running around the ball and giggling again.

I so love this!  They are both so in love!

I love this one of Chris and his mom!  It is so special!

I had such a good time with the wedding party!  They are all such wonderully fun people!

I love this one!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
