Golden Engagement Session, Bri and Justin

I was so excited about doing these! Bri and I had talked about her bringing the firetruck and since it was from the same fire department that I was a volunteer firefighter for (it was just a week, as a teenager and it turned out the 2 calls I went on people died, so my dad said I didn't have to do it anymore), I was super excited. In case you got lost in that last sentence - I was super EXCITED! I mean how often do you get to do anything with a firetruck??

I love this one!  And I just have to point out that Bri is a Lieutenant!  And that is awesome!

I told them to walk like bad asses and all Bri could do was smile and laugh, it was super cute.

I waited to do this for when they had their fire gear on.  This was how they met and I just thought it was so extra that they have one like this in their fire gear.  So sweet!
When we got to this spot I was like those grasses!  Are we even tall enough to walk in them??  I have never seen grasses this tall on Lookout Mountain!  And green much??  At least these weren't photographing yellow like so many other grasses this year.  And hey, Mother Nature, I could get used to this color green so please can we keep it going for a few more years?  20-25 please?

I think this was Justin's performance art piece of how tall the grasses are. Hehe!  He did mention we should look for tics after we left, which I remembered 3 days later... I hope they remembered that day!

I had asked them to do something that was just them.  And they said they were boring and didn't do "them" things.  And then Justin looked at Bri with all this adoring and I knew that was one of their things.  This image just melted my heart!

I love this!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
