Marisa and Trevor's Wedding Part 3, Estes Park

Part 3 of this lovely wedding! Receptions are always so much fun! It is such a great time to connect with friends and family.  It is a great time to get those genuine smiles and laughs.

I love these!  Those girls definitely filled up that phone with a lot of selfies!
Love this one!

It was very sweet, Trevor came with Marisa to bustle her dress.  I don't think I have ever had a groom there while bustling a dress - and he was a great help!  I think more grooms should come in!

Love the kids face!  So cute!
Marisa did a sweet thing with her grandpa, they had him come out on the floor and he danced with all his grandkids.  It really was a tender moment.

I love it when people get up and dance. And dance. And dance! There’s just something so contagious about a full dance floor—where the music takes over, and everyone is having the time of their lives. At this wedding, the guests didn’t just dance for a song or two, they danced all night long!

From the very first beat, the energy never slowed down. It was laughter, twirls, and the best kind of carefree fun. Honestly, I was getting tired just photographing all of them—though it was the best kind of tired. Every turn I made there was another moment worth capturing: a couple dancing their hearts out, kids showing off their moves, friends dancing like no one was watching.

That’s what makes wedding receptions so special to me—the way music and joy bring everyone together. It doesn’t matter if you’re the best dancer in the room or just swaying along, what matters is being in the moment and celebrating in the most joyful way possible. And this group? They celebrated with everything they had!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
