Ian Senior Pictures

There were so many surprising things about Ian and honestly I wasn’t really surprised. There is just something about him that I knew he was amazing. It was in the way in he carries himself and how he has this knowing twinkle in his eye. I just knew he was so incredibly intelligent and kind. And then we talked and I was like, yeah he really is that awesome. (I am cheating a little on all this knowing because I photographed his sister’s Senior Pictures a few years ago and I was just as enamored with her! They are just great, awesome beings!)

I always tell my seniors if you like something tell me and we will do pictures there, and Ian definitely did that!  I love it when they speak up!  I’m like way to voice what you want!

In the beginning, he told me he wanted smiling and non-smiling pictures.  And again – way to go!  I want whoever I am photographing to get what they want and I know that can be hard to know what you want when this is the first time taking Senior Pictures.  So I am really excited when Seniors can articulate what they want!  Ian had no problems doing that!

Here he is with Liz!  How I miss her!

I was so excited about these!  He really wanted to do Wax Trax and I suggested Twist and Shout because Wax Trax can be so dark.  But he insisted on Wax Trax.  I called them and they said yes!  I am so glad we did!  I used to spend hours and hours in this store and it was so incredibly great to go back!

I love these with Liz!  So great to have both of these two in front of my camera!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
