Summer Senior Pictures, Hudson Gardens

There’s something so peaceful about Hudson Gardens — the gorgeous paths and beautiful grasses and tranquil pond create the perfect setting. And for someone like Summer, it felt like the most fitting choice.

Summer is an incredibly sweet and thoughtful young lady. She’s so soft spoken and sincere, and you can just tell she leads with compassion. It’s no surprise that she hopes to become a teacher after graduation — and I have no doubt she’ll be absolutely wonderful at it. Kids will be drawn to her gentle nature and genuine warmth.

I love this one!

I had her standing in front of the stone wall and then she asked if she could sit by the lamp pole.  I like her pose better!  I really love it when people ask to do things!  I think it is more them and more true to who they are!

Her hair!  Absolutely wonderful!

I love these on the fence!

I was so excited about the pond!  The last time I was there the plants were just getting started.  When we came around the corner, I was like a little kid!  The plants were so beautiful!  I just loved that this spot was so amazing for Summer!

This bridge is so awesome!  They are doing construction at certain parts at Hudson Gardens, I just hope they leave the bridge alone for a little bit!
This is one of my favorite part about Hudson Gardens!  They light is so amazing!

Her grandma brought her to the session!  I just love that so much!

I had said we were done... but then the sun started setting and looked so amazing with the water!  I couldn't just walk away...

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
