Marilyn Senior Pictures

I had such an amazing time photographing Marilyn! She is so easy to photograph. Probably because she is in dance and is photographed an insane amount! I actually feel so lucky that they chose me to do her senior pictures, they could have picked from so many other photographers. I just feel so honored!

I had such a hard time picking Marilyn’s images!  It was the soooo hard, this is the hardest part of my job.  Picking.

Marilyn has the greatest personality.  She is funny, kind, thoughtful and can be serious too.  I just love this so much about her!  And it shows in her pictures too!  She looks fantastic whether she is smiling, being goofy or being serious.

Her mom really wanted to do this image and I absolutely loved it!  I wasn’t really sure that we were going to be able to use all of the flowers I brought, but I was really glad I had so many because I love the roses with the shoes!

The funny thing is this was the hardest outfit to pick which ones to keep and which ones to cut.  I absolutely loved this dress and how it looked on Marilyn!  It was stunning!

It took us forever to get all of her dance awards laid out!  She has so many awards!  I have never seen her dance, but I can tell her dedication by how much she talks about it and how she lights up when she talks about it.
I love how these came out!  They are so amazing!

I love this one!
We were so lucky to have these wonderful breezes!  They just made Marilyn’s hair look even more amazing than it already does!

I love this top!  The sleeves are amazing!  Marilyn has such an amazing wardrobe!

I love these on the trail!  I wish we would have gotten to Chautauqua before the sun was setting, but we were having so much fun at all the other places.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
