BCHS Prom

Ah... Prom. I don't usually get to do these kinds of events. But when I do they are so highly entertaining I always agree to do another one when asked. Most of the entertainment is really in my own head, remembering what it was like to be a teenager and so glad I am not anymore - no offense to teenagers, I just thought it sucked. Anyway, prom was fun and delightful. It was a night in Paris theme, they even played "Breakfast at Tiffany's" a wonderful movie! All the beautiful girls and the wonderful dresses and the the handsome boys in their fancy tuxes. I sure hope they all felt as wonderful as they looked!

This was the prom court. I don't know that I have seen a more varied court. There were such different personalities and possibly different cliques, it's hard to say about the cliques, but it is a small school.

The wonderful chaporones, unfortunately not all of them are in the picture. I think it's wonderful that they gave up an evening to go to prom again. Most of them are teachers and do so much already - the kids are so lucky to have so many teachers who care.
I figured prom pictures don't ALWAYS have to be boring.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
