Boulder High School Senior Pictures, Devon

Devon is such a great young man!  We did his Senior Pictures in Boulder  at one of my favorite places!  I love this spot!  Devon was able to carry on a conversation and was so polite.  He even helped me down a slippery hill and was slightly concerned when I almost fell in the water by the river.  He is just a fantastic kid!  His parents must be so proud!  I love these by water!  He is a natural at posing!  I would tell him what to do and he would just fall into it naturally.    I love these by the walls!  I love this one! Broomfield Family Pictures, Kim and Joe

What a family full of characters!  The kids were both very strong willed and so different!  I can't imagine what being one of their parents!  It's like switching gears (massively) between the two!  They were both high energy and had me laughing!  I love these in the trees!  Of course to get them to do this or be here was crazy!  One would want to be here and the other would tell the other one to go here and do this - always trying to top one another!  I should have been taking pictures of that!  I guess I was distracted by all the bantering between the two!  These are the kid's grandparents!  It was their 50th wedding anniversary - that is so incredibly cool! Denver Portrait Photography, Andrea and her lovely kids

We did these by the Denver Art Museum , one of my favorite places to take pictures!  It is so diverse!  There are angles and cool spots by the museum, trees and pretty flowers, colorful chairs nearby and a huge piece of art on the lawn! There is so much going on in such a small place!  Perfect for a toddler!  I have known these kids for a few years, mostly through plays they have been in with my son.  Arcadia was Ed in Lion King and my son was Banzai, so we spent a lot of time at rehearsals together.  Arcadia was a fabulous Ed and she has been fabulous in every roll she has been in!  And her brother Ken has been in a few plays too, I haven't seen him in all of them, but the ones I have seen him in, he has been fantastic.  Andrea is so lucky to have such talented kids!  I love these chairs.  They are a bit wobbly and precarious to sit on, but we managed to get a few pictures with an equally wobbly toddler!  Such love!  I love this squinty smile!  So cute!  Now

Family Portraits, Julie and David

I am going to tell you about this marvelous family and then at the end of the blog you will see how the reality differs from what you see here.   These guys are wonderful!  The kids have so much confidence and personality!  Their house has to be most vivacious, fun and exciting house!  They play music and sing and laugh (they laugh A LOT!)  And I had such a wonderful time photographing them! I love these!  They are so precious!  And now the reality of what I was dealing with on Saturday morning after I stayed up late on a Friday night.  I didn't think it was possible to laugh so much on a Saturday morning!  David really wants to be a Sear's model.  And he thought this particular Saturday morning, with a photographer present, would be the moment to try it out.  I think they are really onto something!  And then they saw the boat...
