Denver Portrait Photography, Thea and her beautiful children

This is my wonderful sister-in-law Thea and her children Matt and Rachel. We had a great time at Cheeseman Park in Denver, luckily we beat the heat by a day! Today turned out to be a hot one, although they could have run through the sprinklers yesterday! Isn't she adorable? And I'm not just saying that because I am her Aunt. She is really one of the sweetest girls. At her brother's birthday party, she won a stuffed shark that my son Aidan fell in love with. And Rachel being the sweety she is gave it to Aidan - "just because" she said. Matt kept threatening to take the squirrels and hang them upside down by their tails... I was a little skeptical that it would work out how he imagined, but he assured me it would be ok . Several times he asked me if I wanted him to show me, and as curious as I may have been, I did the good Aunt thing and said "No! Let's leave the squirrels alone!" I thought they would be a little more entertained with the fish-eye

Brighton Portrait Photography at Reunion, Charlie and Asher

Really this should be called the many faces of Charlie. She was very animated, mischievous and curious - a huge delight to be around! I was photographing her and her brother Asher, for Joonbugz a new clothing store in Brighton. Unfortunately, Asher wasn't feeling well, so I thought it was just going to be Charlie. We met at Reunion on a beautifully overcast day, thank goodness because I am still sun-burned from Belize. Charlie was a delight to photograph and even more fun to follow around and see what she found. One of the many things Charlie found - she really loved the bird with the yellow! The game of peek-a-boo was one of her favorites! She did have this look on her face a few times. And that's when I knew it was time to take a break - she was very good at letting me know when that time came. And again she was showing me something else she noticed. And much to every one's surprise, Asher showed up, happy after his nap! I love her outfit! It was so cute! Asher

Belize Wedding Photography, Dusti and Ed

Dusti and Ed's wedding was quite the wonderful affair! It was definitely one of the most interesting weddings I have ever done. They wanted to get married on Caye Caulker in Belize, but were unable to find a suitable spot. So we took a boat to Ambergris Caye and found a great spot. It was at this fabulous resort, where I'm pretty sure we weren't supposed to be there, but it was Belize and "supposed to" in Belize is kind of like their boat schedules (very open to interpretation). The great thing about all this searching was that I got to know them more than I normally would. I couldn't have asked for a better couple to hang out with for the afternoon! Aren't they just gorgeous??? We had talked about doing a trash the dress series and Dusti was all for it, that is until she found her dress - which was beautiful! So they used these outfits instead. I love this image!
