Denver Senior Pictures, Jayden

Jayden is such an amazing kid! One of the things I love about about sessions is getting to know clients and getting to know Jayden was awesome! He had just come back from Belize - a place I love to visit! It was really awesome to talk to someone else who had been there! He has been so many places and done so many amazing things! Jayden is such a down to earth young man, it was such a joy photographing him!   This alley is being painted this month!  I am kind of bummed that this beautiful artwork will be painted over, but I am super excited to see what they do!   I loved this!  It was such a cool spot and Jayden looks so amazing here! Golden Senior Pictures, Madison

Madison is so incredibly elegant and beautiful, it was a dream working with her! I love how I was able to capture some very different expressions and looks, not everyone is as versatile as she is! It was so funny how connected we are and didn't even know it! I met her at Corah Couture, I have done fashions shoots with them in the past. Madison helped with a video I did for What to Wear. Her mom worked for Coors in Golden, where my parents worked and where I grew up. And the kicker, her brother took classes at the School of Mines from my brother-in-law. It was all so surreal as we were talking about all the different connections and almost connections we had. I am glad we finally connected!   This was such a hard image to get!  I had this idea, but in my head it was very different than what I was seeing as we were photographing.  Sometimes imagination doesn't match the reality!   I was having a hard time articulating what I was seeing in my head, and when we left I th

Boulder Family Pictures, Molly and Matt

These kids! They had me cracking up! They didn't want to touch each other and anytime I put them in a position that they could be touching they were like magnetic repulsion. So I had to work extra hard to get them into a comfortable pose that looked good and didn't involve touching. And phew! I did it! I love that their parents honored their no touching rule, kids need to understand it's ok to say what they want and how they feel and not be pressured into doing something they don't want to do - even if it is touching your adorable brother or sister. Kudos Molly and Matt! You guys are rocking it!   Isn't this the greatest??  I love it when parents get in on the fun!  And check out Molly in her heels and "jumping!"  So fantastic!   Sometimes I need to rearrange a pose...   See?  So much better.  (But to tell the truth, I actually prefer the other one.)   See!  These kids!  I love how each of them brings something different to the ta

Longmont Senior Pictures, Cassidy

Cassidy is such a sweet girl! We had a great time wandering around Yaya's farm in Longmont. She was so happy and content there! One of her friends came along and they were so cute together! It was like they didn't need to talk, they just looked at each other and giggled.   I love these by the barn!  This barn is just my favorite!   Oh my!  I love this image!  Cassidy looks amazing!   So cute!   I was so glad Cassidy changed back to her dress!  We found this cute little corner of the farm when we were almost done, I just love how quaint it was in this corner!
