Raquetball Family Photos, Ryan and Lee

I can't even find the words to talk about this. When Ryan asked if I was up for something different, I sat up a bit, I've been asked this before and ended up in a field with everyone wearing the same color and a little disappointed that there wasn't more (not that there is anything bad about that look! I love how everyone looks and I love fields, so there is nothing bad about it! But it is not different.) So, as we talked more, I realized he was serious, but I still wasn't willing to get my hopes up too high. And then I arrived. I was almost a puddle of joy on the sidewalk! But I knew I actually had a job to do, so I did it and now I can't stop smiling!



 This was one of my favorite kinds of sessions, it was more like a collaboration than anything.  And I loved all the ideas and thoughts!  I know that I am the professional, but I want to create images that speak more about the people in them than just a normal portrait session.  I really want my clients to feel like we created this together!

She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

 Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. Isaak's Senior Pictures, Boulder

 Isaak was so easygoing and genuinely amazing to be around!  He wanted his senior pictures at sunset in Boulder, which is always a hit or a miss. There’s just something about that golden light hitting the rocks and mountains that makes everything feel magical. The only catch? Everyone else thinks so too. I picked this spot years ago because hardly anyone goes there. But this time, when we showed up, it was packed ! I couldn’t believe it. I was like, really?? Why here, today of all days? As it turns out, a sweet group of friends was setting up for a surprise proposal right in the middle of our spot. I mean, adorable, but also, the timing!  But honestly, that’s one of the things I love about my job, something unexpected always happens. Whether it’s weather changes, running late, surprise events, or wardrobe hiccups, it's always a challenge! And every single time, it ends up being even better than what I planned.
