My Little Man

I have this wall in our living room and I thought I would print a large canvas of our family and hang it.  When I did, it looked soooo small!  I thought I would print pictures of the kids and hang them around the family picture.  I didn't want to do pictures from that session, I wanted to do something else, but I didn't quite know what.  Well... that was years ago!  I have had a lot of time to figure it out.  And one day it came to me!  I had my daughter's picture and I would use one of my oldest son from Ireland, but I didn't have any of the little guy...  I wanted to do something that represented him like the other pictures represented his siblings.  I saw this beautiful tree next to the water and I thought - 'that's it!' He loves theater, so I put him in a top hat, a nice shirt, tried to get him out of jeans and put on some nicer shoes, but sometimes you just have to go with what you have.  These incredible images were taken by Janine Walker in Irel

Colorado High School Senior Pictures, Zachary

I loved talking to Zachary and his family!  He talked a lot about his family.  I loved that!  After he graduates he wants to take a trip to see his family, so thoughtful!  He said has 20 cousins!  I can't imagine!  I have 4.  I love this image!  I love this image too! Zachary plays golf and baseball and he is so thoughtful about his role in sports.  He was telling me that he enjoyed golf more because it is about personal scoring.  If you make a mistake, it's all on you.  Very wise!

Colorado Senior Pictures, Emma and Anna

Anna and Emma's Senior Pictures were amazing!  The night before, the weather said it would be cold and rainy, that morning it said mild and clear.  When I pulled into the parking lot it started to rain, but as soon as I stepped out of the car it stopped!  I love it when weather cooperates! Emma and Anna were so easy going and both were up for anything.  They weren't too different, as far as some twins are, but they were so much more comfortable with each other than some twins are.  I just loved how close they were!  And as much as I tried to not do the same poses and places with them, I did.

Colorado Family Pictures, Christine and Jim

I did Christine and Jim's for Broadland's magazine, I always feel so blessed when I work with people from this neighborhood.  They are so appreciative and gracious!  Christine and Jim were just great!  I loved their daughter, she was so adorable and inquisitive!  Kids are so marvelous!  I always love the swinging pictures!  And judging by the look on her face, so did she!

Colorado H.S. Senior pictures, Doug

Our first appointment for Doug's Senior pictures was rained out.  And not just a little, but huge swells of blowing rain and flooded streets rain.  We had moved the time hoping to avoid the rain, but instead, we got more rain!  Where we did his pictures usually takes me 10 minutes to get to and it took me 25 minutes to get home from there.  It was a bit crazy!  So when we finally got to do his pictures, it was sunny and a mostly mild day.  The wind did pick up a little, but his hair stayed right in place!  Doug was a little shy at first, but after a few laughs he warmed up.  He still didn't say much, but he was such a great kid!  I really enjoyed walking around - especially without all the rain.

Colorado Family Pictures, Red Rocks, Kami and Joe

It seems like forever since I did Kami and Joe's pictures - probably because it was weeks ago, almost a month!  I am so excited to be getting caught up!  Who knew that taking 3 days off could set me back so far!  I was so excited when Kami called me!  I did family pictures for them 2 years ago and I fell in love with their little one!  She didn't warm up to me the last time, but she was just so cute and adorable (it may have been the bunny boots she was wearing, but I really think it was her absolute avoidance of me that made me like her more!)  This time she was posing and showing off for me - and this of course made me love her more!  She just has those cute squishy cheeks!!  Oh how I love them!  So stinkin' adorable!!!  She was like 'let me hold you by your leg daddy!'  Not sure which picture is cuter....  And the pout... Still so cute!  I love the one of them kissing!
