Prairie View High School Senior Pictures, Akancha

The day of Akancha's pictures was a beautifully sunny, fluffy cloud day - the weather forecast was rain all day.  As it got closer and closer to her appointment time, the clouds started to fill in the sky and get darker and darker every minute.  As she pulled into the parking, it started to rain.  The kind of rain that is big and heavy and wants to stay for a long time.  I was sure we were going to have to reschedule.  We of course did some pictures with umbrellas, but it was so rainy and wet!  We were discussing rescheduling or heading back to Brighton, but first we stopped at a hotel for her to change and hit another spot before we made up our minds.  It cleared up while we were in the hotel and was just gorgeous after that!  Akancha and her mom were so awesome to stick it out!

 She was so cute!  I asked her to be serious and it just made her laugh!

 I love this spot so much!  I was just bummed to see so many other photographers there.  Usually, I see 1 or 2, but this day there were 4 or 5.  I think it may be time to find another spot....

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

 Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. Isaak's Senior Pictures, Boulder

 Isaak was so easygoing and genuinely amazing to be around!  He wanted his senior pictures at sunset in Boulder, which is always a hit or a miss. There’s just something about that golden light hitting the rocks and mountains that makes everything feel magical. The only catch? Everyone else thinks so too. I picked this spot years ago because hardly anyone goes there. But this time, when we showed up, it was packed ! I couldn’t believe it. I was like, really?? Why here, today of all days? As it turns out, a sweet group of friends was setting up for a surprise proposal right in the middle of our spot. I mean, adorable, but also, the timing!  But honestly, that’s one of the things I love about my job, something unexpected always happens. Whether it’s weather changes, running late, surprise events, or wardrobe hiccups, it's always a challenge! And every single time, it ends up being even better than what I planned.
