Denver H.S. Senior Pictures, Claire

Oh my!  What can I say about Claire??  She is just awesome!  She is super shy and doesn't say much, but when she does say something it is so thoughtful.  She is an amazing friend and spectacular young woman!  I am so glad that I know her and her family, they make my life so much richer!
I was super excited to be doing her Senior Pictures and I was even more excited when I found out she was getting her hair dyed green the same day!  She is one of the few people I think that can pull off green hair!  She just looks adorable!

I love this one!

 I love these!
We took so many of her in front of this sign, ones of her not smiling and scowling a little, but I just loved this one! Laughter seemed like the appropriate response to this sideways sign.
I was kind of surprised not to see a face peering out of the window in this picture!  There were some guys playing pool and they seemed very curious as to what we were doing.  I think it would have been hilarious if they had photobombed us!

I love these with the guitar!

Claire wants to be a tattoo artist and she really wanted to do some in front of a shop.  I loved the idea and it seemed like such an easy thing to do downtown on a Friday night... But all these shops closed at 8pm - before the sun set or didn't have great store fronts.  I think we spent 40 minutes trying to find places that were worthy!  Luckily, we found some!  I loved this one and I was glad the sun hadn't set just yet, I don't think it would have worked as well in the dark.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
