It's been awhile...

It's been awhile... In all this time, the kids have gotten out of school and have since destroyed the house over and over EVERYDAY!  I've also had a birthday, a BIG zero at the end birthday - very exciting!  I had a great big party and it was so much fun!  I was thinking I would give my presents awards!  So here it goes!

The Most Used Gift Award is split between 3 gifts - a blanket, Chai and a Starbucks card (the card is almost gone because I treated the entire family to Starbucks yesterday!)
This gift has the strange title of - Most Likely to Help Me Get Over a Fear. I'm just going to leave it at that.
This gift is The Best Handmade Award. My father-in-law made it for me!  Wonderful isn't it?  So far, Aidan's little animals have lived in it and it may have seen at least 1 loaf of bread.
The Most Wanted Award - a book by Annie Leibovitz.
Most Precious Award - my youngest son bought me this ring all by himself!
I now have enough wine for a year... not sure what award to give that, but I'm excited to try out all the different wines!
This next one, is the Funniest (and grossest) Award.  I will not actually say what it is, but it gets 2 images to help you figure it out.

The Prettiest Gift goes to my brand new quilt rack and beautiful flowers.  I totally love them!

The best gift was all the people who showed up during one of the busiest times of year!  I really appreciated everyone who made an appearance!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Brayden, Golden, Co.

When Brayden said he wanted to do his senior pictures at Red Rocks, I was totally on board, Red Rocks is always amazing and absolutely beautiful! The only problem was the day we were doing them there was a concert.  I was very nervous! I’ve done sessions there before when a concert was happening that night, and it just a very adventurous thing to do. There are so many cars!  And people.  They are everywhere!  I didn’t even know who was performing that night, but that doesn't mean much...  I was crossing my fingers that it would all work out. And thankfully it did! It was perfect. There weren’t many people around until the doors opened, and that gave us such an amazing window to get some incredible shots. These are probably some of the greatest images I have taken at the tunnel! It was very exciting! We were lucky to be blessed with some beautiful deer! You can see all the cars starting to show up!  I was going to take them out, but then I was...
