Bromley East Charter School Let's Make a Scene Play

Finally!  I haven't blogged since the week after Thanksgiving, that was 3 weeks ago!  It's not like I haven't been doing anything... I photographed the Bromley East Charter School play and I do a poster for them too and that's what I've been working on.  And there were a few other things in there, along with holiday shopping, swim meets and a Jiu Jitsu belt test too.  I feel a little twitchy right now.  In fact, I just ordered pizza because I knew I had to eat something soon and didn't see an end in sight.  I am trying really hard not to be hypnotized by the order bar tracker that tells me which stage my order is in.  Crazy that they have that.
Anyway... here are some of the images of 'Let's Make a Scene', it was a fabulous play with lots of kiddos!  It was amazing that this play took place in the cafeteria!  It was so AMAZING!  And I'm not saying that because one of my kids was in it.  It was truly amazing!

I love this image!  She looks like she is enjoying this moment so much!
I loved this part of the play!  It was shaped because of Rachel's Challenge, a wonderful organization to help kids be more compassionate, reach out to others and start a positive chain reaction in their worlds.  The Signing class signed the words to the song, a wonderful singer sang the words and other student's played out a scenario that happens every day in schools.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
