Brighton High School Senior Pictures, Galilea and Lupita

Galilea and Lupita are the best friends and they were just the cutest friends.  When Galilea called me, I could hear her excitement through the phone and when they showed up for the session they were both so excited it actually woke me up.  I love it when people are excited about what I am so excited about everyday!  They were just awesome and so wonderful to photograph.
Galilea has such a wonderful attitude.  So often teenagers are so self conscious and reality just seems cruel.  But Galilea was very confident and apparently very hard to embarrass.  She fell in the water and I felt so bad, but she got up and brushed herself off and on we went.  Later on she laughed about it and I was so relieved!  Personally, I think I would have been mortified and had a hard time recovering from it.

Lupita was very sweet and kind (especially to Galilea after the water incident.)  She was so eager to get started.  She said she wanted to pose on a rock across the water and as I was thinking of the easiest way for her to get there, she not only got there, but posed herself and was ready before I knew what happened!  Such fun!

I love these pictures in front of the waterfall!

Here they are with another one of their amazing friends!  She was such a great help and such a great person to help out as much as she did!  I love that the three of them were so helpful and kind to each other!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
