Thornton Family Portraits, Dan and Susan

I photographed Dan and Susan or a neighborhood magazine and because Dan has a book coming out in June!  It is very exciting that magazine wanted to feature him and the book he wrote.  He will also be one of the speakers at the Historical Novel Society's national convention.  Such great people I get to meet!  He told me a little about his book and I can't wait to read it (I, of course, cannot remember the name, or I would plug it here!)
First we went to a park and tried to find something that looks good at the beginning of March.  It wasn't so easy, it of course has greened up a little since we met.  Darn it!
 Then we went to one of my favorite places - the bookstore!  We had a great time taking pictures of Dan in the Literature section and then I had them sit at the café and look at books.  I love taking pictures of people in places they love!  It is so different and adds a whole new layer to their family pictures!

This young man! He is fantastic! Sophia Senior Pictures, Boulder

The thing I remember the most about Sophia's session was walking around chatting and laughing! This girl is going places, she is just so busy with everything! And I bet she does everything with that beautiful smile of hers! I love this one!  Her hair!  It is just gorgeous! I love that whatever pose I put her in, she looked so amazing!   I love all these colors, they were absolutely beautiful! I mentioned that she could get into the water if she wanted and the next thing I know she is sitting in the water!  It was so awesome! I would have suggested she get her hair wet, but we still had another location to get to! I love these in the field so much!   Chautuaqua  is always a magical place! And then the sun came out!  We were out of the field at this point and when the sun came out, Sophia and I ran back and did some more pictures!  I was so excited! Evan Senior Pictures, Golden

Evan really wanted to do pictures in an aspen grove and I was really worried all the leaves would be gone, and most of them were. But there were enough to make it look good. And the grasses! Oh my they were so amazing! I absolutely love the blue with all the fall colors!   I love this one! I love how Evan did his hair different at the 2nd location!  I always wish there was more time to do such things on sessions!
