Brighton High School Senior Pictures, Colorado, Riley

I have done Riley's families pictures for years now, it is so hard to believe that she is a Senior!  In fact, when she was little little her and my daughter went to the same dance studio!  And now she's all grown up and plays softball so well that colleges want her NOW!  Congrats to you Riley as you enter your Senior year!  You made it!  Phew!
Riley is such an awesome girl!  We did her pictures at her family friend's house and their daughter, who is 6, was helping out.  Riley kept stopping and talking to her and seeing what pictures she was getting on her ipad.  It was really sweet!  Most teenagers don't even notice little ones.  I was very touched by her!  She is just amazing!

I love these in the field!  The sun was amazing and it fits so much of who Riley is!

Just a quick behind the scenes of her being shaded on these awesome logs!

The wind was so crazy that evening!  I was afraid we were going to have to stop and reschedule!  But eventually it died down enough and we were able to continue.  Out of all the weather issues, wind is my biggest problem!  Grrrrrr!  Wind!  But that light!  Swoon!

I love this time of day!  The light is so beautiful!

Everything about Riley fits so perfect with the barn.  I just love these shots by the barn!

Riley didn't really care about the truck, but right as we were finishing up she said it would be ok.  I was a little worried because it was getting so dark, but with some flash it all worked out!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
