Denver Senior Pictures, Phillip

I love this kid's smile! Philip has such a wonderful smile and a great laugh. His mom kept trying to get him to smile and at first I was worried that he wouldn't really smile, but he always had this amazing smile right before he went serious again. I felt like I was getting to see a little bit of Philip that not everyone gets to see. I felt very blessed to witness it.

I do love his serious face!

I do want to point out this pant suit and super cool it is!  And this color looks amazing on him!

I love that Philip wanted to do pictures here!  This mural is amazing, it usually has cars in front of it and we were so lucky that there weren't!

I photograph so many young women and I am always so honored when I get to photograph young men.  I am always so pleased when they have a good time because I am fully aware not all of them want to be there and are only do it because a parent is making them.  I sure hope Philip had decent time and didn't hate it too much! And a huge thank you to his mom who trusted me to do his pictures!

Philip does a lot of photography - and of course this made me incredibly happy!  He does a lot with flowers and I kept pointing out flower murals and he didn't like most of them.  When we got to this one, he liked it and I was so excited that we were able to do something that captured his interests!
I love this one!

I know why his mom wanted him to smile so much!  Because he has a wonderful smile!

I love this one!  We were done photographing at this point, but then I saw this mural.  I love that it didn't have color or detail because it allows for Philip's interpretation and creativity to fill in what it could be.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
