Denver Senior Pictures, Chris

Christopher had a very specific request, to do pictures on Larimer St under the flags and lights. I was very excited about this because I love that spot! And what's even better is we did it on a Tuesday and very little people were around! I love it when people know what they want and it works out perfectly!

So someone just left their Ferrari on the street... Christopher really liked it, so I said for this moment it can be yours - just don't touch it! And it makes for a pretty awesome image!  Thank you random Ferrari owner, I appreciate you parking along our route from Union Station to Larimer Square.

I love that his was the Colorado blue of the flag!  And doesn't he looked amazing in blue??
I love this one with him and his mom!  So sweet!

The entire time we were taking these pictures, a journalistic photographer was eating with some friends and talking about his adventures in another country and I was ack!  Is he watching me??  Does it look like I know what I am doing??  Do I know what I am doing??  And then I took a breath and got over myself and continued on.  It turns out, I did know what I was doing and should have been breathing the entire time.
I loved Christopher's honesty when I asked him how school was going.  He just didn't really want to be there, but he knew he had to get it done and then he could go on with his life.  So many high school Seniors are like this around this time and I am always cheering them on to just do it and get over with in the best way possible!  It is less than a year and then it's over. I should do a Tik Tok of me being a cheerleader to all my Seniors!  Go Seniors!  It's worth it in the long run!
We were really done and then I saw this archway and I was like "oh my! We are here, we might as well just do a few more..."  15 minutes later we were done.  Ooops!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
